(k)new City
Bengalooru
Landed:30th November 2006
Impression: Too noisy
Lost myself in this concrete jungle's bitter noises, and on an invisible voyage of self discovery.
This is a city of disappointment, full of shopping malls. Apples cost 110 INR per Kilo, length of mosquitoes measure around half a centimeter, and people seem to have forgotten that this was once a Garden City. All I see is tiny suns shining everywhere, nevermind, the automobile headlights.
This is a city of learning, doing my first on hand experimental project here, mostly learning to tighten screws. Screws of my capacity to tolerate tamarind and no salt in every food, capacity to interact with people who remotely understand my language, capacity to tolerate people who theoretically claim to understand my language, capacity to tolerate people I have never met in my life. Not to mention the screws in a rheometer and laser setup.
Curiously enough, I was dying to board the first flight after end sems to just get in here. By the way, I have lost quite a few friends here, and made new friends as well. Those on the "in-list" include : Weekender, Shopper's Stop, Levis, Mc-Donalds, Dominoes.
Those on the "out-list" do not deserve a mention.
By the way, this log does not indicate that I have broken up or something. I am still the good old committed, dedicated and many other 'ted's. Just that other excited offers in the city are now over.
When you question me for a simple answer
I don't know what to say, no
But it's plain to see,
if you stick together
You're gonna find a way, yeah
And the others don't just matter. Of course, hello to them as well.
